FAQ

  • Is this a gimmick?
  • No! The idea for Story as a Service started as a bit of a joke. “Of course you can’t productise brand storytelling…or can you?” We thought hard about it, and we realised that, not only does it work – it actually makes perfect sense for many organisations to approach strategic storytelling in this way.

  • Is this just another name for an agency retainer?
  • Technically…yes? But we like to think this is a smarter way to approach brand storytelling than your average agency retainer, which often leads to a random load of reactive marketing or PR work. Story as a Service is strategic, has a purpose, and offers valuable services and resources in about as close to a subscription-based-product form as we can make them.

  • Am I tied to a long contract?
  • No, but there are some minimum terms we have to put on certain plans, to make it worth everyone’s while – especially when we’re doing strategic work like positioning and narrative development, and longer-term marketing programs, that require a larger up-front investment of resources on both sides to get great results.
